First time using a pet hotel for us and willow, she seemed to enjoy her stay, it was nice to know she was being kept safe, we only did a day and a night as a trial to see if we and willow were comfortable with it and safe to say we both are and she will return, the place looks amazing and is very well organized 100% recommend.
I was very concerned about leaving Bailey, as he is an elderly lab, 12 years old. But I needn’t have worried. He was so well looked after and cared for by the lovely staff at Gentian Hill.
We loved seeing the videos they posted and he always looked so happy.
It’s wonderful to have him home, but I wouldn’t hesitate to use Gentian Hill again if we need to.

Our beautiful 4 girls have spent 4 nights being wonderfully looked after, their first time staying away from their home without us. We were exceptionally nervous and fretting. Seeing videos of waggy tails were a absolute delight as we know very well, if they were in the slightest bit unhappy, those tails wouldn't wagg but they had ears up and tails almost wagging off, even our nervous one was taking cuddles freely (which was a shock, shows how happy she was there) they all seemed so relaxed. They came home with full tummies and no sulking at all. Thankyou so much to you all for taking such fantastic care of them. We feel very comfortable and confident they will be happy coming back 🐾⭐️🩷
Picked up Bailey and Dottie today after a 2 week stay they absolutely loved it, both come home perfect, just tired 😴 🤣 Baileys a very nervous dog but you definitely wouldn’t think so by the videos and how happy they have been. I loved seeing the videos of them while away, so nice to see them happy and out running in their fields.
Definitely found their forever holiday home would not use anyone else, highly recommend Gentian Hill Pet Hotel, nothing was to much trouble from medications to fussy eaters, I noticed Dottie was limping from a previous injury in a video and within a few minutes of me asking if they can give her some of her painkillers (not needed daily only when needed) they replied and sorted her out, which was amazing 😊.

Just picked my buddy boy up from a weeks stay. He slept all the way home and is still snoozing now. This is unusual for my bouncy energetic boy 😂💙. So it’s clear to see he had the best time. Staff are lovely 🥰 and a beautiful place. We have now found our forever holiday home for buddy 💙 daily updates with videos and messages which was so nice. Thank you
I was scared stiff as never put my wierd but lovely saphie in kennels .I thought I'd constantly worry .
she loved her trial stay so thought I'd be OK whilst 2 weeks away .
honestly I can't wish for better care .
I love the videos they make my day ..she looks happy even giving the saphie spa treatment .
I would 1000 percent recommend these lovely people .

I was so worried about putting Honey into kennels from a previous experience but you put my mind at ease right from the beginning.

Absolutely first class pet hotel! Lovely, caring staff who really take their time with every pet and make sure they are happy and comfortable.
The cattery is spotless, with lots of home comforts as well as fun toys etc for the cats to play with, outside views and fresh air help keep them from feeling trapped, especially for those who are used to going outside a lot.
I felt at ease knowing that Kimi was in good hands while I was away, he will definitely be returning later this year 😻

Gentian is fantastic for us and our fur baby Lily.
We have used other “Pet Hotels”/ Kennels but Gentian is by far head and shoulders above them. The staff are fantastic, they have a real love and enthusiasm for their boarders.
In the past when we have collected Lily from other kennels she has come home quite smelly and makes us itchy, not with Gentian.
I know there are some negative comments about strict collection and drop off times. But, We totally understand this, it allows the staff to manage the process quickly and efficiency so they can then get back to the boarders for their leg stretch etc.
We would not use anyone else now. Thank you Gentian.
would highly recommend Gentian Hill my dogs have been here a few times they have always been very accommodating. my female is very nervous and I have no issues with her going she gets very excited to see the staff. I know that both my dogs are in very safe hands
Just picked our cat scarlet up and she has been so well looked after.
they have given her medication as needed, posted videos of her getting some TLC and kept me updated about her.
We will take our pets now where else.

This was Gillys (dog) first experience with a kennels and us being nervous was an understatement. shes a very nervous dog who takes a long time to build any trust and i can tell Gential hill has taken extremely good care of her. constant updates with videos and pictures allowed us to see how she was and i could tell they managed to build some trust with each other. The facilities were spotless, even with many other dogs being there at the time. I couldnt recomend these people highly enough and will definitely be returning! They also looked after our cat Gigi at the same time and hes the same cute little spoilt furball that we left him he definitely enjoyed his time there too!.
Everything! My previous dog loved it and I have a very anxious young dog now and they always spend time settling him and discussing things with us so I know he will be ok when we leave. Just collected him and he’s very relaxed and happy so I know he has been looked after well.
my 3 boys stayed for 2 weeks and had a great time they came home so happy and shattered from all the playing 😀
the ladies are all lovely and the attention to each dog is fantastic, would 100% recommend to anyone, home from home 🏡.

I have been using Gentian Hill for over 15 years always been happy with the TLC my dogs have and continue to enjoy in their care. I would not trust my dog with anyone else nothing is too much trouble they will endeavour to meet your dogs needs as requested . Their only problem is they are so excellent you need to book ahead to Guarantee a place which says it all for me. Thank you Gentian for making my holidays stress free with the knowledge they are safe in your care .
We leave our Yorkshire Terrier/Shitzu type cross, Gaby, at Gentian Hill whenever we go away. We know she is absolutely fine and very well looked after, she’s safe and happy there. It enables us to relax knowing she will get as many cuddles there as she would at home. The videos posted are brilliant too, like a modern day postcard from your dog 😂 🐶 Thanks Gentian 😊❤️
As pet owners who has never left any of our cats before, we were very nervous. The staff at Gentian were exceptionally friendly and no question was too much for them! We visited once before choosing to board our 5 cats here, we would not have chosen anything else. They were amazing with all of our cats who are very different! We even have a couple of cats with mild disabilities and this did not phase them 1 bit! Gentian is beautifully well presented and super clean and we loved the fact that it was 'out of the way' of main roads. If we need to board again we will 100% be choosing Gentian for piece of mind and quality of care. The price was really good also - we were applied discounts as we had more than 1 cat and value for money was fabulous (we would have paid much more for the piece if mind that Gentian offered us) Thankyou once again

Our 3 spanish rescue dogs first time at Gentian. Highly recommend, Zoe was great when we dropped them off and helped to ease my mind at leaving them as 2 are incredibly nervous, but we saw a couple of videos and had nothing to worry about.

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to all the staff and owners of Gentian Hill pet Hotel 🙂 I picked Tilly up today after a 12 night stay there whilst we was on holiday I was very emotional leaving her but felt at ease straight away and knew she was in good hands,
I loved getting little clip videos and pictures on the page every now and then it made me feel better being away from her and knowing she was being cared for and was happy ❤️ I find them affordable and reasonable priced In comparison to other boarders I looked at. It was also nice to have a free settling day stay for Tilly to know I was dropping and picking her up.
I picked her up today and she was happy It took me 15 mins in the car park for her to want to come with me 🤣 she must of really enjoyed her holiday 🙂 Thank you soo much for looking after our girl, would 100% recommend ❤️

What a wonderful caring establishment to leave your dog ! It's like putting your dog in the hilton
The best place to leave my sweet little cat Zephyr . He loves coming here and gets loved and looked after . He has stayed three times now and I wouldn’t take him anywhere else.

This is the first time I’ve left my 1 year old pug Hugo, we went away for two weeks, I was nervous about leaving him and worried about him the whole time, seeing his little face when we picked him up and seen him so happy took any doubt away, you could see how much he was cared for, when we go away again, I would love him to come back here , thank you so much for looking after him.
Always very pleased with the service and attention. Really do a great job looking after our dog when she goes to stay!

Put my dog in he was looked after to the highest standard wd recommend them to anyone we have always put our dogs in there
Staff were really brilliant with our nervous rescue dog. Her medicines were all administered perfectly, along with a little something to make them palatable! The video and photos taken during her stay showed us that Tiggy was very relaxed and her usual bouncy self. Staff are exceptionally helpful and caring, and the kennels are kept to a very high standard of cleanliness. Dogs have fun staying here.
If you want above average accommodation for your dog or cat, this is the place to go. Slightly more expensive than some, but you get what what you pay for and well worth that little extra. Our cat has spent several " holidays " here and has always been very contented when I pick him up! Would highly recommend.

Clean. Tidy nice people. Good videos of your pet playing
Left our dog with them for a couple of nights. She seemed to love it. The staff were friendly and even helped facilitate getting our dog to our wedding by liaising with our dog escort. It’s also such a beautiful setting and is kept very clean from what I saw. Very good prices too.
Our two dogs and our cat seem to be very happy at Gentian. Our golden retriever is a bit of a handful but the staff know just how to treat him and our cat simply disappears into the little igloo as soon as he goes into the cattery. I can highly recommend Gentian Hill for both cats and dogs.
1st time are 16 Yr old dog had been here. He seemed happy enough. They looked after his needs and we could not be happier. Friendly and welcoming environment.
Colin & Daisy’s first stay at Gentian…..Colin being a very nervous dog & leaving him concerned me somewhat. However, given Jane’s feedback over the phone & pics posted whilst they were there, I was soon reassured both were happy fur babies! Many thanks to all at Gentian Pet Hotel for the professional & caring service given to Colin & Daisy during their stay. See you again soon xx

'A' stayed here for a long weekend. We liked the video update. She had previously been in for a taster day and seemed happy to go back in when we dropped her off. She'll be back!

Being a born worrier I was really nervous about leaving my boys whilst away on holiday but I really needn't have been.
Every member of staff was professional and attentive from start to finish. All questions answered fully, were able to bring pets own blankets and toys and attention to detail on feeding patterns, meds or the like is second to none.
My boys obviously love it here and make excited yelps when dropping off and greeting Caroline. Also the getting to know and trial day is amazing and provides that extra reassurance for you that your pet is being loved and cared for and they are happy being there.
Would not hesitate to recommend or use again.
Clean and very professional. Its clear to see the animals are the top priority. And it's the first kennels I've ever been too that did not smell doggy or of dirt

Love these kennels. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. The layout inside and out looks perfect. Staff put up pic's n vids of your dog on their fb page which gave us peace of mind and we could tell by Claudes body language that he felt relaxed. Will definitely be using them again 👍🏾🐕👌

I would highly recommend Gentian Hill Boarding kennels. I looked at many kennels in my area and can honestly say this one is the best. My dogs are treated kindly by Jane and her staff.
My dogs are always happy and confident when I take them and pick them up. The kennels are clean and warm and they have their own indoor and outdoor space. It is good to have the peace of mind that while I am away my dogs are happy and well cared for.
I have used Gentian kennels for several years. My two border collies, Scampi and Chips have always been taken great care of, they pull me into the office when I arrive and they look happy and relaxed when I collect them.
One is a very nervous dog and the other has arthritis, both are treated with kindness and affection. They share a large pen and it is clean because they are allowed to use a large grass play area regularly for toilets and exercise. I would recommend Gentian highly.
My dog has stayed at various locations over the years and now approaching 16yrs, this is the best he has ever come home from. He has been there twice now and has always been relaxed on collection.
